Do not require Other Text box

Q. Is there a way to shut off the feature that forces input on the Other fill ins? So when someone checks Other and there is a text box following, they have the option to specify or to leave it blank.

A. Turn off this functionality:

1. Load the question.
2. Access the Set Answer Options menu.
3. Select Format Answer Options.
4. Under the Options column, click iO next to the Other label option.
5. From the popup window, select Not Required. Hold down the Control key and click the Left Mouse button to select more than one option (if you don't do this, you will deselect the Other Text Box option).
6. Click Save.
7. Save the Format Answer Option window.
8. Save the Question Form.
